Markinch Highland Games

It's "The Games" on Sunday again, and although Dougray Scott and Joe Mangle off of neighbours are looking unlikely to show, the gazette says the games are set for an invasion. Anyway, I thought it was a nice opportunity to resurrect a few of the old Markinch.net site (now defunct) pages to do with the town and the games and so on... so after a lot of faffing around I've managed to get a few online - first there's one of the first web things I ever did - a guide to sneaking into the highland games it's a bit obsolete now that John Dixon park turns into Fort Knox for the day, but still worth a try, I reckon.
Next there's the Tour of Markinch with photos taken in 2001... it's a handy guide from the past if this Sunday will be your first time visiting mighty Markinch.
And finally for now, there's the "Disasters of Markinch in Watercolour" collection - although the limited edition prints sold out a long time ago, you can still print out the collection yourself and hang them on your wall to impress visitors.
Here's hoping for some sun on Sunday.
Cheers!

edit: I forgot about the shop! and "learn the bagpipes" and one of the first ever pages I put together: how to enter the highland games.
